We believe in a world where everyone belongs.

For fifty years, L’Arche Arnprior has brought to life the vision of people with and without disabilities sharing life in community with a wide circle of family, friends, and neighbours. We provide supports for daily living and community participation as well as facilitating programs and initiatives. We help individuals with intellectual disabilities discover their gifts and abilities, and support them to achieve their goals for a meaningful life.

L’Arche is a national leader in building communities of inclusion and belonging. L’Arche demonstrates that when we welcome their insights, leadership, and gifts, persons with disabilities help build a more just, caring, and vibrant community for all.

L’Arche Arnprior is located in the Ottawa Valley (65 km west of Ottawa) in the beautiful town of Arnprior, Ontario. Arnprior has a population of 10,500 and is known as the town “where the rivers meet,” because the Madawaska River flows into the Ottawa River. It is a small, but growing, and friendly town. L’Arche Arnprior was founded on a farm in 1975 in Frontenac, Ontario and moved to Arnprior in 1988.

L'Arche and friendship are deeply connected, as L'Arche creates communities where people with and without intellectual disabilities live, work, and grow together through authentic relationships.
