Leadership is something we share.
At L’Arche Arnprior, leadership isn’t simply about having a title. It is about taking responsibility for the part of the community entrusted to us, making thoughtful decisions, caring well for people and resources, and helping others do their best work.
We believe good leadership requires both trust and accountability. Whenever possible, decisions should be made close to the people and situations they affect, by people who understand the work and are equipped to respond. That means leadership happens throughout L’Arche Arnprior - in our homes, programs, offices, gatherings, and everyday relationships.
Leadership doesn’t stop with the Leadership Team. Throughout L’Arche Arnprior, coordinators and employees carry meaningful responsibility for the people, places, programs, and work entrusted to them.
Our Leadership Team
Our Leadership Team shares responsibility for the overall health and direction of L’Arche Arnprior. Each person stewards a particular area of community life while working together on the opportunities, challenges, and decisions that affect the organization as a whole.
Pernell Goodyear
Executive Director
Provides overall leadership to L’Arche Arnprior, working with the Board of Directors, Leadership Team, and wider community to steward the organization’s mission, culture, direction, and long-term sustainability.
Debra Gayle
Community Services Manager
Stewards the quality of community life and support across Group Living, Supported Independent Living, and programs, working alongside coordinators and teams to ensure people are supported to live good lives and belong fully in their community.
Nora Lara
Business Administration Manager
Stewards the financial and administrative health of L’Arche Arnprior, helping ensure our resources, systems, properties, and operations are managed responsibly and sustainably.
Thomas Bateman
Human Resources Manager
Stewards the employee experience at L’Arche Arnprior - from recruitment and onboarding to development, workplace culture, policies, and the systems that help people succeed in their work.
Renelle Simmons
Health & Wellness Manager
Stewards health and wellness across the community, working alongside people, families, healthcare professionals, and support teams to promote thoughtful, coordinated, and person-centred care.
Our Board of Directors
L’Arche Arnprior is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Board provides governance, oversight, and strategic stewardship, working in partnership with the Executive Director to ensure the organization remains faithful to its purpose, financially responsible, and prepared for the future.
